The opportunity
TC Professional Services is looking for accounting graduates and early-career professionals who want to develop practical experience in UK year-end accounts production. You will receive structured training and work alongside experienced colleagues supporting UK accounting firms with the preparation of annual accounts for their clients. You will begin with core accounting and reconciliation work, taking on more complex responsibilities as your knowledge and confidence develop.
What you will do
With training and support, you will:
- Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts for UK businesses
- Review accounting records and identify missing or inconsistent information
- Prepare bank, customer, supplier and other balance-sheet reconciliations
- Analyse trial balances and supporting financial information
- Prepare working papers and schedules to support annual accounts
- Assist with year-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Support the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
- Maintain accurate, complete and clearly documented files for review
- Respond positively to feedback and make agreed amendments
- Work closely with colleagues in India and the UK to complete assignments accurately and on time
What we are looking for
- A sound understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and respond positively to feedback
- The ability to organise work and meet agreed deadlines
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A responsible and professional approach to work
Qualifications
Applications are welcomed from recent graduates and early-career candidates with one of the following:
- Com or M.Com
- CA Intermediate, or part-completion of the CA pathway
- CMA Intermediate or another relevant equivalent qualification
- Candidates studying towards ACCA
- MBA in Finance with a strong accounting foundation
- Another relevant accounting or finance qualification
Previous UK accounting experience is not required. Full training in UK accounts-production processes will be provided.
Technology, AI and continuous improvement
