Finance Executive

Noida, UP

The opportunity

Unlike our client-service departments, the Group Finance team carries out finance-function activities for TC Group itself. You will take responsibility for day-to-day finance activities including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll accounting and month-end processes. You will also support monthly management accounts and provide reliable financial information across the Group. This role suits someone with practical finance-function or bookkeeping experience who is ready to own routine activities and strengthen their reporting experience.

Day-to-day finance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Xero
  • Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, expenses, receipts and payments
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Respond to supplier, customer and internal finance queries
  • Process and reconcile bank and credit-card transactions
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Maintain complete and organised supporting documentation
  • Identify unusual, duplicated or incorrectly recorded transactions and resolve them

Reconciliations and financial control

  • Complete monthly bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain balance-sheet reconciliations
  • Investigate differences and follow up missing information
  • Prepare and post journals and accounting adjustments
  • Maintain fixed-asset registers and depreciation schedules
  • Review records for completeness and accuracy
  • Resolve reconciling items promptly
  • Escalate unusual, complex or higher-risk matters appropriately
  • Help maintain effective financial controls

Payroll accounting

  • Prepare and post payroll journals
  • Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger
  • Reconcile payroll-related balance-sheet accounts
  • Account for PAYE, National Insurance, workplace pensions, deductions and statutory payments
  • Liaise with payroll colleagues, providers and internal stakeholders to resolve differences
  • Support payroll-related month-end and year-end reconciliations
  • Maintain supporting records and a clear audit trail

This is a payroll-accounting responsibility within Group Finance, rather than responsibility for administering employee payroll.

Month-end and financial reporting

  • Support month-end and year-end close
  • Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other adjustments
  • Assist with monthly management accounts
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting reports
  • Produce schedules and analysis for monthly reporting
  • Review balances and movements for unusual items
  • Help investigate variances and provide explanations
  • Generate regular and ad hoc financial reports
  • Provide supporting information for internal and external review
  • Take increasing ownership of balance-sheet areas and month-end procedures
